Pediatric Database and Specimen Repository
The Pediatric Clinic Core maintains a pediatric database that includes clinical information from 1990-present time. The database is ideal for issues about utilization/access/clinical care. It includes all patients visits since 1990, and the data includes growth data, immunization data, HIV treatment information, HIV-related (and non-HIV related) diagnosis, hospitalization data (diagnosis and LOS), and relevant laboratory data (CD4 counts, plasma HIV RNA levels, CBC, liver function tests, cholesterol and trigycleride results, STI testing results).
The Pediatric Core maintains a separate specimen repository. Specimens are available for 85 subjects, each with an average of 3 different time points. Full clinical and lab data (as described above in our database) can be linked to the specimens. Serum, plasma and PBMCs are available.
