Consultation & training in primer/probe design, data analysis, etc.
The Core provides training in use of the real time PCR machine. We also provide written instructions regarding machine usage, literature, relevant online resources, and vendors for primer/probe purchase.
We also provide training and assistance in assay design, as well as assistance in the design of custom primer/probe sets for any target of interest using Primer Express Program software program.
Consultation and training on machine or software use and in custom primer design is offered without charge.
The core will also work with investigators to develop and/or carry out other services based on indivdual investigators? needs. This has included quantifying HIV or other targets in clinical materials (blood or other tissues) and other related assays.
