Agencies:

Recently, the Center has embarked upon two new ventures designed to support the future research of the Center. Increasingly the interests of faculty members and policy makers are on the development of effectiveness research in community settings. The development of such research requires close and trusting working relationships with agencies that deliver services. The Center has begun this process by creating the Network for Community Care that includes the Hall Mercer and Community Council Mental Health Centers, and the community rehabilitation agency Horizon House. These "partners" are actively supporting the development of effectiveness research in their community settings. Current projects include treatment adherence protocols, vocational rehabilitation interventions and consumers support interventions.

The SP2 in collaboration with CMHPSR recently received an NIMH grant to develop a Center for Mental Health Services Research to provide a structure for involvement of social work faculty with the public-academic liaison activities with which CMHPSR is actively involved. These include local, state, and national agencies and organizations in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg (PA), and Columbus (OH).
