Mission

The mission of the Center continues to be to strengthen behavioral neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the pre-eminence of basic research programs in the Department of Psychiatry. The primary scientific objective of the CNB is to foster interdisciplinary research and training in the basic neural and molecular mechanisms underlying complex behavior, including but not limited to psychopathologic behavior. The Center complements and extends the research program of the Department of Neuroscience by supporting an integrated systems approach to the neurobiology of mammalian and human behavior.
