Kelly S. Curran, Esquire, Compliance Attorney and Associate General Counsel

Kelly Curran is Compliance Attorney at the Office of Corporate Research in the Perelman School of Medicine, as well as an Associate General Counsel of the University of Pennsylvania. She will assist the University with consulting arrangements and conflict of interest matters that arise within the School of Medicine Prior to joining the University, Ms. Curran was Associate General Counsel for The Cooper Health System where she provided legal counsel relating to contracts, compliance, regulatory matters, licensure, reimbursement, and patient care issues.

Prior to working at Cooper, Ms. Curran was an Associate at Cozen O’Connor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, practicing with the health care group and handling a variety of regulatory and transactional matters relating to fraud and abuse, Medicare reimbursement, HIPAA, compliance, and general health care law.

Ms. Curran received her undergraduate degree from Point Park College (B.A., summa cum laude) and her law degree from Duquesne University, where she served as Research Editor for the Duquesne Law Review and also as a Legal Writing Fellow. She is currently a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
