Confidentiality and Consulting Agreements
The Office of Corporate Research manages the review of Confidentiality Agreements related to a potential clinical trial, as well as Consulting Agreements between individual faculty and outside companies.
Confidentialty Agreements (CDAs), sometimes called Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), are often necessary prior to discussions with companies about the conduct of a clinical trial, for either a drug or a device. Frequently Asked Questions on Confidentiality Agreements can be found here. If you have a Confidentialy Agreement which specifically relates to a potential or proposed clinical trial, please contact Cherrie Murphy via the below contact information.
Consulting Agreements between faculty members and outside companies include matters such as scientific advice, speaking opportunities, expert witness testimony and board or officer serivces. Although the University is not party to these agreements, they must be reviewed by OCR to ensure that any outside relationships comply with University policy. It is recommended that Consulting Agreements also be reviewed by faculty's own counsel for issues of personal interest. Essential provisions and guidelines for Consulting Agreements can be found here. If you have a Consulting Agreement which requires review, please contact Kelly Curran via the below contact information.
