Current Public-Health Related Activities:
My interests focus on US policy and the HIV pandemic as well as developing strategies to address the global health workforce shortage. I am currently involved in a project with the World Health Organization to analyze how disease-specific funding can best be used to build health systems and strengthen health workforce in low-income countries.
I also collaborate with Health GAP and other AIDS activist groups to work towards stronger US policy to fight the global HIV crisis.
Finally, I am interested in designing curriculae and programs that support inclusion of public health principals and the principals of health advocacy in graduate medical education. With these goals in mind I am working with others to build a global health residency track for the Department of Medicine.
