Current Public-Health Related Activities:

The focus of Dr. Bloch's career has been to promote optimal health for mothers, children and their families. Since obtaining her PhD in 2001, with Dr. Pinto-Martin as her chair, Dr. Bloch has been involved in public health research. The focus of her current work is on the observed racial and ethnic perinatal disparities related to preterm births.

Dr. Bloch has a full-time faculty appointment at Drexel in Nursing with a secondary appointment in Epidemiology and Statistics. Informing her teaching and research is her practice as a Nurse practitioner in a public funded prenatal care center.
