As a clinical social worker, public health, especially food justice are important to me. In my day to day work as a therapist I see the impact of lack of access to healthy food, limited opportunities for exercise and affordable healthcare on my client’s emotional well beings. With my clients I have candid conversation about food justice, food education and importance of healthy lifestyles are on their overall health, mood, and happiness. As an individual I volunteer with various food agencies around Philadelphia: MANNA, Sunday Suppers to help bring healthy food and community together.

I have been a part of research teams at Penn in the School of Design, School of Nursing and School of Medicine on various public health projects.  In addition I have been a guest speaker at the School of Social Policy and Practice on my personal research of the impact of food/nutrition on mood.
