The CPHI offers a variety of programs that support our mission. These programs are structured to be in line with the three core elements of our motto: Ideas. Science. Action.
Ideas
The CPHI brings together diverse groups and disciplines to foster interdisciplinary discussions around priority public health issues, thus identifying novel and innovative ways to address current challenges as well as disseminating best and promising practices in the field.

Science
The CPHI encourages the development of interdisciplinary public health research initiatives. This is accomplished through an annual Call For Proposals (CFP) from cross-school research teams at Penn.

- 2013 Community-Driven Research Day Call for Proposals
Action
A key aspect of the CPHI mission is to enhance community/academic partnerships through fostering best practices and hosting forum's in which traditional and non-traditional partners can discuss priority public health issues and practices. Through the development of these partnerships, the CPHI endeavors to promote research that is done in partnership with community members and groups and is relevant to community needs and enhance the translation of research findings into action at the community-level.
