AMDAD Photograph Grading Protocol

The AMDAD Initial Evaluation form was developed to record drusen and AMD characteristics in patients enrolled in the Study.

The AMDAD grading form [PDF, 64KB] is a modified version of the CAPT Initial Visit AMD Characteristics [PDF, 107KB].

Key unique characteristics of the AMDAD grading protocol:

  • AMDAD grades only 60° color fundus images.  Grading tools were developed to measure 60° images. (e.g.; CAPT grades 30° color fundus images and fluorescein angiograms);
  • AMDAD Initial Evaluation records a) whether the photos are gradeable and b) any other ocular conditions and signs of AMD.
