The money will go to the Center for Research on Early Detection and Cure of Ovarian Cancer, where Dr. George Coukos and his team want to develop new drugs that can destroy ovarian cancer without being so toxic to the patient and to find a reliable marker for a screening test that women could get at the gynecologist to ferret out ovarian cancer cells before they've started to spread.
