Research Interests:
My current research focuses on the microheterogeneity of
human pituitary glycoprotein hormones. Synthesized and
secreted human follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and
luteinizing hormone (LH) subunits and isohormones are being
characterized by isoelectric point (chromatofocusing) in
order to determine how physiologic changes (eg changes in
hormonal status) and disease (gonadotroph cell pituitary
adenomas) influence the FSH and LH secretion.
