Research Interests
Regulation of rRNA transcription in corneal epithelium
The goal of this project is to investigate the role of basonuclin, a cell-type-specific transcription regulator of rRNA genes, in the development and maintenance of corneal epithelium and other ocular tissues. Biological Function of BasonuclinThis project aims to understanding basonuclin function as a transcription regulator in the skin and epidermal keratinocytes. We employ molecular, cell biological and transgenic mouse techniques to study basonuclin's role in epidermal proliferation, differentiation and wound healing.Recent Representative Publications
