Work in Prison Populations to Prevent Recidivism

The purpose of the Novel Interventions in Criminal Justice Populations Division, led by James Cornish, MD, is to develop and test new treatments to improve the outcomes of people with substance-related disorders who are involved in the criminal justice system.  The Division’s primary interest is in the use of medications as treatment options for the criminal justice population.
