Kathy Benhamou, B.A.

Kathy Benhamou, B.A. graduated from Binghamton University in 2016 with a degree in psychology and distinction in her major. As an undergraduate student, she worked on conducting various research projects investigating dissociation and PTSD, social support in intimate relationships, and more. At the CTSA, Kathy assists with a multisite military trial on PTSD treatment, an on-site PTSD treatment study, and with a naturalistic treatment study through the CTSA's fee-for-service clinic. She also assists with web coordination for the Center. Kathy joined the CTSA to build her research and clinical skills and gain more experience with PTSD and other anxiety disorders. She hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, and is interested in evidence-based treatments for PTSD, comorbidities with PTSD including suicide and psychosis, as well as forensic applications of psychopathology research and practice.
