Lauren Bonavitacola, Psy.M.
Lauren Bonavitacola, Psy.M., is a clinical practicum student at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety. She is currently a 4th year clinical psychology doctoral student at Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. Lauren received her Bachelor's degree in music therapy and flute performance, with a minor in psychology, from the University of Miami in 2009 and subsequently worked as a case manager for adults with mental illnesses at the Reliance House, Inc. Lauren has completed clinical training at the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinic at Rutgers University, the Depression Prevention Initiative researching Interpersonal Psychotherapy- Adolescent Skills Training with at-risk youth, the Eating Disorders Clinic implementing guided self-help for college students with binge-eating disorder and bulimia nervosa, and Family Medicine at Monument Square implementing behavioral medicine and consultation services. Her current research interests include the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based treatments for anxiety, eating, and borderline personality disorders. Lauren’s clinical interests include evidence-based treatments for borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and anxiety disorders, including PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety.
