Leah Schumacher, M.S.Leah Schumacher, M.S.

Leah Schumacher, M.S., is a practicum student at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA) in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton in Ohio. She received her Master’s degree in psychology from Drexel University, where she is currently a 4th-year doctoral candidate working under the mentorship of Dr. Meghan Butryn. She has received clinical training at the Drexel Psychological Services Center and the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, and also has served as a therapist for numerous treatment studies for anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and obesity. Leah’s research interests focus on evidence-based treatments for eating and weight disorders. Her clinical interests include evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, including PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety.
