Tracey K. Lichner, Ph.D. joined the CTSA in 2006.  Previously, she spent three years at Johns Hopkins University participating in research investigating the genetics of obsessive-compulsive disorder. At CTSA, she supervises research therapists at the U.S. Department of Defense in using PE for active duty soldiers with PTSD.  She is a trainer for PE workshops, as well as workshops for Exposure and Ritual Prevention (EXRP) for OCD.  For several years at CTSA, Dr. Lichner developed and coordinated a clinical bereavement project at Pennsylvania Hospital’s Joan Karnell Cancer Center.  Traumatic and prolonged grief continues to be of clinical interest, as well as utilizing PE and EXRP with complex populations. Dr. Lichner specializes in PE for PTSD, EX/RP for OCD, and cognitive-behavioral treatment for social anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety.
