Recovery Act Awards / FY2009

Fiscal year 2009 provided an important opportunity to build translational and clinical programs through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) Stimulus program. In response to this initiative, CVI faculty members submitted 31 ARRA proposals totaling $42,563,739. To date, awards totaling $17,576,353 have been received.

Remarkably, investigators participating in the CVI Complex Genetics of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Initiative garnered $15,559,799 in ARRA funding. Most notable among them were RC1 awards totaling $1,999,986 and RC2 awards totaling $12,646,564 to Daniel J. Rader, MD.
