The Dalva Lab studies the mechanisms that enable neurons to form excitatory synaptic connections during development. The long-term goals of the laboratory are to identify molecules guiding these events, probe the functional significance of certain types of synaptic contacts and investigate the dynamics of the intracellular signaling that underlie these processes.
