The Richard Perry University Professorship

Richard Perry

In 2005, Penn Trustee Richard Perry established the first four Penn Integrates Knowledge (PIK) University Professorships. The PIK Program was created by President Gutmann as a Universitywide initiative to recruit exceptional faculty members whose research and teaching exemplify the integration of knowledge across disciplines and who are appointed in at least two Schools at Penn.

A Wharton graduate, Richard C. Perry is President and Chief Executive Officer of Perry Capital, a private investment management firm that he co-founded in 1988. His philanthropy at Penn includes the creation of the Perry World House, a global policy research center that aims to advance interdisciplinary, policy-relevant research on the world’s most urgent global affairs challenges.
