The Academic Plan is an outline of the job description for the position you are hiring the Candidate to fill. It is NOT required for Full Professor Appointments.
You are responsible for ensuring the accurate completion and submission of the Academic Plan (although usually the Candidate, Department Chair and often the appropriate Division Chief will collectively develop and sign it).
When proofreading, make sure that:
- Breakdown of duties equals 100%
- all fields in the Breakdown of duties are filled in (If Candidate will have no duties in an area, put “0%” in the field.)
- Circle "New Appointment"
- information on the Academic Plan agrees with all other Dossier documents (e.g., the Part I and the Chair’s Recommendation Letter), specifically in the areas of proposed :
- Title
- Track
- Start date
