Research Interests:

• Hyperpolarized ³He MRI of lung function and structure through regional measurements of ventilation, oxygenation and gas diffusion.
• Micro CT of lung function and structure related lung injury and various parenchymal diseases.
• Histological analysis of lung pathology.

Current Projects:

• Regional compliance of emphysema in rats.
• Smoke effects (COPD) in mice.
• Alveolar extension in lung injured rats.
• Improvement of lung morphological analysis in rodents.
