The 2013 International Functional Lung Imaging Workshop
May 16 - 18, 2013
The primary objectives of these workshops were to discuss a diverse array of topics on pulmonary imaging (structure, function, and metabolic), lung physiology, lung mechanics, and on the latest imaging and hyperpolarization techniques.
The Third International Workshop on Metabolic Imaging
July 25 - 27, 2012
We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine will be hosting the Third International Workshop on Metabolic Imaging. The workshop is scheduled from July 25 through July 27, 2012 and will be held in the BRB II/III auditorium at the University of Pennsylvania.
This is a three day workshop and sessions are aimed at providing faculty members, post-docs, fellows, and graduate students the opportunity to learn more about state-of-the-art metabolic and molecular imaging techniques and how they can be used to obtain real-time information for fundamental studies of metabolism and extended application to disease management.
The 2011 International Functional Lung Imaging Workshop
Feb 28 - Mar 2, 2011
The primary objectives of these workshops were to discuss a diverse array of topics on pulmonary imaging (structure, function, and metabolic), lung physiology, lung mechanics, and on the latest imaging and hyperpolarization techniques.
The Second International Workshop on Hyperpolarized Carbon-13 and its Application in Metabolic Imaging
July 23 - 26, 2009
The primary objective of these workshops are to bring together the cutting edge researchers of in the field of metabolic imaging with an emphasis on the emerging phenomenon of hyperpolarized 13C NMR/MRI. Cover topics ranged from recent advances in hyperpolarized 13C technology, novel imaging molecular and metabolic techniques, and clinical applications of new methods. The meetings consist of a series of invited talks from individuals who are considered to be the leaders in their projective fields. The focus of the meetings were and will be on quantitative assessment of metabolism, clinical aspects of molecular processes of cancer and other pathophysiologies, and application of hyperpolarized 13C for real-time assessment of molecular processes and metabolism, and standardization of new imaging techniques.
The 2006 International Functional Lung Imaging Workshop
September 14 - 16, 2006
The primary objectives of these workshops were to bring together a great variety of knowledge, experience and perspective from a diverse group of investigators. It covered topics ranging from novel imaging techniques to physiology to the clinical application of many new methods. The meeting consisted of a series of talks from invited speakers considered to be the leaders in their respective fields. The focus of these meetings were quantitative assessment of lung function, clinical aspects of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, small airway disease, application of new imaging techniques for quantitative assessment of lung function, application of polarized gas for drug discovery, and standardization of new imaging techniques.
