Haig H. Kazazian, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Kazazian is the Seymour Gray Professor of Medicine in Genetics and Chairman of the Department of Genetics. He is Board Certified in Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics. Dr. Kazazian currently serves on the board of directors of the American Board of Medical Genetics and is a past president of the American Society of Human Genetics. Dr. Kazazian is presently on the editorial boards of Human Genetics, Somatic Cell and Molecular Biology, Human Mutation, and Molecular Probes.

Dr. Ganguly is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Genetics and is a molecular biologist with particular expertise in mutation analysis and the development of novel assays for mutation scanning and direct mutation detection. She is Board Certified in Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics. Prior to her appointment at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ganguly was on the faculty of the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. Dr. Ganguly developed the CSGE technique, widely used in mutation detection. She has also developed an extremely sensitive gene mutation screening for BRCA1 and BRCA2 (research only), HNPCC, Hemophilia A, Retinoblastoma, APC, and p53 and supervises all diagnostic testing for these genes.
