Judith Alvarez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a degree in Biological Basis of Behavior. Prior to working for Dr. Gelfand’s team as a Clinical Research Coordinator she was a coordinator assistant in the Cardiovascular Research Unit at HUP. While a student, she led an organization on campus called Focus First, which provides diagnostic eye exams to children in underserved areas in Philadelphia. She was also part of Onda Latina, Penn’s premier Latin dance group on Penn’s campus. Judith aspires to one day be a physician herself and is extremely excited to be immersed in innovative and cutting-edge research with Dr. Gelfand and his wonderful team.
