Services provided to University of Pennsylvania investigators by the facility include:
- Cell Culture Training
We provide training in basic cell culture techniques.
- Cell culture services
- Growing cell lines at different scales from our cell bank upon request.
- Large scale growing of hybridoma lines followed by purification of IgG
- ELISA
- Myocplasma testing, Endotoxin testing
- EBV transformations of primary mammalian lymphocytes (human, mouse, rat).
- Preparation of various mammalian cell culture media
- Specialty media
We prepare specialty media on request. One of the most frequently requested media is fly food for the maintenance of Drosophila
