High Throughput Sequencing
Description of Service
High Throughput Sequencing has been recently introduced at the request of several investigators at Penn.
- High Throughput Sequencing of PCR products or plasmid DNA at $300/plate
Users can submit a full 96-well PCR plate (compatible with the ABI PCR machine) with prescribed amount of DNA (purified PCR products or plasmid DNA) and primer in each well and send the sample information following a special format in excel by e-mail. The cost is $300. For less than a full plate, 51 – 95 samples submitted in the same format will also cost $300. - High Throughput Sequencing from Bacterial Cultures at $500/plate (high copy plasmids only)
The facility will prepare plasmid DNA from cultures submitted in a deep-well plate and sequence both ends. A culture plate can also be prepared from a glycerol stock plate. The sample information is to be sent following a special format in excel by e-mail. A full plate costs $500 for sequencing both ends and $350 for sequencing one end. Half plates can also be submitted.
This method works for high copy plasmids only.
