Arupa Ganguly, Ph.D.
Professor of Genetics, CE
Dr. Ganguly is a Professor of Genetics and is a molecular biologist with particular expertise in mutation analysis and the development of novel assays for mutation scanning and direct mutation detection. She is Board Certified in Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics. Prior to her appointment at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ganguly was on the faculty of the Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. Dr. Ganguly developed the CSGE technique, widely used in mutation detection. She has also developed an extremely sensitive gene mutation screening for BRCA1 and BRCA2 (research only), HNPCC, Hemophilia A, Retinoblastoma, APC, and p53 and supervises all diagnostic testing for these genes.
Lindsey Mighion, MS, CGC
Lindsey Mighion, MS, CGC is a board-certified genetic counselor with a background in molecular and cell biology research. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lindsey went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics at the University of Connecticut. She joined the Genetic Diagnostic Laboratory upon completing her Masterís in Genetic Counseling at Arcadia University in 2013. Lindsey provides post-test counseling for patients who undergo genetic testing for uveal melanoma and is available to answer questions regarding any of the genetic tests offered by the Genetic Diagnostic Laboratory.
