Dr Raiten's research and clinical interests have focused on the delivery of critical care services in developing countries across Asia and Africa. He has worked with the Clinton Health Access Initiative to improve critical care services in Rwanda. Dr. Raiten also led an international team which developed and implemented a critical care educational program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and he is currently working with the Shahid Gangalal Heart Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal, to develop an improved format and structure for their training of cardiac critical care physicians.
