Functional Genomics Core - Experiment Submission
Researchers note: Please remember to acknowledge the Institute for Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Metabolism, the DRC grant (P30DK19525) and the services of the Functional Genomics Core in any ensuing research publications.
Service Costs as of July 2011
Members of the Diabetes Research Center receive a discount of up to 15% off of list price. Academic Investigators outside of these centers receive a 10% discount off of list price. All commercial or for profit organizations will receive a 5% discount off list price for service orders containing 10 or more samples.
Submitting Samples
RNA for Microarray Services or RNA-Seq: We prefer investigators to dilute total RNA down to a concentration of 100ng/ul in a minimum volume of 10ul. If this is not obtainable, we can work with any concentration of RNA down to as little as 1ng/ul (in at least 10ul volume).
DNA for Sequencing: We prefer to receive at least 5ul of the library prepared DNA sample. No need to NanoDrop or obtain the concentration of the sample, because we will use the Agilent BioAnalyzer to more accurately obtain the molarity of the sample before processing.
Please let us know if you wish to reacquire your samples or trash them when finished. We will return the remaining sample volume when the experiment is complete, if specified.
