Feasibility Funds for Pilot Studies on Sleepiness Disorders and Metabolism
The Institute for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (IDOM) and the Center for Sleep and Respiratory Neurobiology (CSRN) are pleased to announce the availability of funds to support two pilot projects ($25,000 each) in the area of sleepiness disorders and metabolism.
To be eligible for funding, each project should involve a collaboration between a member of IDOM and a member of the CSRN. Applicants must be full time faculty members. Instructor level applicants will be accepted. The proposed projects may involve basic or clinical research, should address an important question in the area of sleep disorders and metabolism (or diabetes or obesity) and position the investigators to submit an application for federal funding.
Recipients of the funds will be expected to present their findings at the Penn Diabetes Research Day.
