LissieLissie is a certified Clinical Research Coordinator, working on studies for major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder. Lissie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Psi Chi, she graduated Summa Cum Laude. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant in Dr. Ayelet Ruscio’s Anxiety, Depression and Emotion Lab, helping develop and run an experience sampling methodology study examining whether appraisals of intrusive negative thoughts, such as worry and rumination, predict later behavior, affect and functioning. Her undergraduate research focused on the assessment and treatment of catastrophic cognitions in patients suffering from IBS. She helped work to validate a measure of catastrophizing and worked on a randomized controlled trial, for which she received the Morris Viteles award for excellence in undergraduate research. Lissie plans to pursue a medical degree and continue working in research as a psychiatrist.
