ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
Submit 1 page abstract by MARCH 3RD (no extensions!) to Amy Nothelfer, nothelfe@mail.med.upenn.edu.
- We encourage submission of all forms of basic science and clinical & health services research. Meta-analyses of existing clinical studies are eligible; however, narrative reviews of the literature are not eligible. Students may submit narrative reviews for inclusion in the abstract book only.
- 1 inch margins on all sides
- title 1 inch down
- use 12 point Times New Roman font
- title and authors should be centered and bolded
- title's first word should be uppercase, all other words in title lowercase except proper nouns, abbreviations, etc.
- research mentor info. should list name, degrees and title of mentor
- graphs or tables can be included (may be a smaller font)
- Research Day category: list one of these five:
- Short-term (summer or longer but not Scholarly Pursuit or MD-PhD - indicate basic science or clinical & health services research)
- Year out (9 mos. or more - indicate basic science or clinical & health services)
- Scholarly Pursuit (indicate basic science or clinical & health services)
