Medical Student Research Day

From 2006-2009 we held four Medical Student Research Days. While we will not be having a Research Day in 2009-2010, we hope to bring it back at some point in the future. Information and pictures from past events are below.

Medical Student Research Day is an event for Penn Med students. Students first submit an abstract, which is judged by a committee of Penn faculty. Then, they present a poster of their research at the event. First and second place prizes are announced at Research Day and are awarded for top abstracts in several categories. STER Summer Student Symposium

The Short Term Elective Research (STER) Summer Student Symposium occurs each year at the beginning of the fall semester. Penn Med students who received summer research funding through the NIDDK or NHLBI short term research grants submit an abstract and present a poster of their research to the PIs of the two grants (Dr. Bryan Wolf, NIDDK and Dr. Horace DeLisser, NHLBI), the students' mentors and each other.
