Seminars and Other Events

  • Microbiology Department Seminar Series. Noon, Wednesdays.
    This is our flagship Microbiology seminar series, and is held in the Austrian Auditorium in CRB. It features prominent scientists from throughout the country and Europe who talk about their latest work in virology, bacteriology, parasitology, and immune responses. The Nathanson Lectureship as well as the Alumni Day lectures are part of this series.
  • Virology Training Group Seminar Series. Noon, Tuesdays.
    This seminar series, held in the Nursing Education Building Auditorium, provides a forum in which students and postdocs from virology labs throughout the campus can present their work during the course of an hour, providing an opportunity to get feedback about their work as well as gain practice in presenting their work. 
  • Microbiology/Molecular Biology: Prokaryotic Seminar Series. Noon, Fridays.
    This seminar series hosts a mix of internal and external speakers. As our bacteriology program expands, a greater number of students and postdoctoral fellows will present their work.

  • Immunology Colloquium. 4:00 PM, Tuesdays. (Schedule provided by Immunology)
    The Immunology Program hosts its own seminar series, many of which are of interest to those in the Microbiology community.

  • Wistar Seminar Series. 4:00 PM, Wednesdays. (Schedule provided by Wistar)
    The Wistar Institute seminar series frequently hosts speakers who are of interest to the Microbiology and Immunology communities.
