Department of Microbiology

Support the Department of Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania

A gift to the Microbiology Department accelerates our efforts to carry out high impact research focused on the viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites that cause disease.  Through our research we strive to develop new ways to prevent and treat infectious diseases, including HIV, bacterial infections, SARS, Zika virus and many others.

Where it is needed most: Unrestricted gifts allow the leadership of the Department of Microbiology to direct funding to areas where the opportunity to impact human health is greatest.

Ways to Give

There are a variety of ways to make a contribution, including by credit card, check, and stock.  Please click here to make a gift online.

A gift of any size will help to advance research and training in the Department.

Named funds: A gift of $25,000 or more establishes a named fund and enables you to support specific research initiatives, pilot programs, faculty, or education for the next generation of scientific leaders. Pledges may be paid over five years. If you are interested in making such a gift, please contact Torren Blair using the information below.
