General Information
The Third New Directions in Skeletal Muscle Biology Meeting will be held April 27-30, 2008 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The goal of this meeting is to facilitate research progress and information exchange in basic biology of muscle and therapeutics for muscular diseases.
Many productive collaborations and important scientific relationships were formed following the first and second meetings on New Directions in Biology and Disease of Skeletal Muscle, which brought together researchers on muscle who seldom attended the same specialty conferences. The current session will provide the opportunity for those relationships to thrive, for new collaborations and relationships to form and will allow young scientists to get exposure to a broad cross section of all areas of muscle and neuromuscular disease research.
The meeting will be informative and highly interactive, like the venues in 2004 and 2006. It will consist of platform presentations and poster sessions. Submitted poster abstracts will be considered for inclusion in appropriate discussion sessions.
