Non-Routine Use Supplies / Other Supplies
1. For any other research supplies (special needs for projects, etc.) find the item in the McMaster Carr or Fisher catalogs (www.mcmaster.com, no online Fisher Catalog) and fill out the supply order form on the common drive on the server (purchase request mcmaster or purchase request fisher). Be sure to put your initials/name in the space provided. This includes restocks of fasteners, anticipated hardware needs, replacements for broken tools, reagents.
2. If you break a tool or use up a supply, request a new one so it can be replaced!
3. The purchase request files will be checked once per week and supplies ordered.
4. Items not in McMaster Carr or Fisher must be requested with a separate purchase order through the front office. You must obtain a purchase request form from the front office and ask the faculty member in charge of the project for the proper grant to charge.
5. If you are unsure of exactly what to look for, consult with Paul Robinson or Melanie Gnazzo (412-A).
6. Catalogs are available online, in the main office (room 424), room 404, or Paul and Melanie's office (room 412A).
7. Office supplies may be requested through a purchase order from the front office.
