  • Congratulations to David Lee and Robert Mauck on their award from the Human Frontiers in Science Program for their proposal titled "Mechanoregulation of nuclear architecture and genome function: A novel mechanism in stem cell fate."

The major goal of this project is to develop an international research consortium with investigators from the US, Germany, and the UK to investigate the role of nuclear deformation and chromosomal rearrangement on cell fate decisions. This information will be used to guide fate decisions in directing human mesenchymal stem cells towards specified lineages with mechanical loading regimes.
