McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory > Elliott Lab

Welcome to the Elliott Lab

Our goal is to determine the role of mechanics in intervertebral disc function, degeneration, and restoration utilizing human, animal, and computational models.

Three focus areas:
1. Fiber-reinforced tissue mechanics and modeling of disc, tendon, and tissue engineered constructs
2. Disc structural mechanics
3. Animal models of degeneration and therapy

For additional information on orthopaedic bioengineering at the McKay Labs, please see the pages of Professors Rob Mauck and Lou Soslowsky.
