AREAS OF SPECIAL INTERESTS
Ryan joined Professor Mauck’s lab in July 2008 after completing his second clinical year of orthopaedic residency training. He has a special interest in sports medicine and is currently researching the inhibitory effects of certain commonly used drugs on chondrogenesis using a bovine mesenchymal stem cell model. Away from the hospital, Ryan has been known to frequent the weightroom at the Bellevue Sporting Club, the VIP sections of the city’s most popular nightspots, and the Borgata poker room under the alias “The Rock”.
