Rudra Pampati

Undergraduate Student in Bioengineering
University of Pennsylvania

HOMETOWN
Hazard, KY

AREAS OF SPECIAL INTEREST
Rudra Pampati joined the lab in summer of 2010 as a Penn Institute of Regenerative Medicine intern. Under the guidance of Jon Kluge, a post-doc from Tufts, he’s currently working to characterize silk nanofibrous electrospun scaffolds by determining mechanical, biodegradability, and growth factor release properties. In addition, he’s also researching the mechanical and degradation properties of multi-polymer component electrospun scaffolds. Outside the lab, Rudra is an active student on Penn’s campus, serving on the Class Board and the Engineering Deans’ Advisory Board.
