AREAS OF SPECIAL INTERESTS
Sohaib Hashmi joined the lab in the summer of 2012. Under the guidance of Su-Jin Heo, a research engineer from Inje University, South Korea, he's currently working on mimicking the physiological loading conditions of the knee meniscus by developing a novel compression-tension bioreactor, conducting finite element analysis, and fabricating porous nanofibrous scaffolds for in vitro testing. Outside of lab, Sohaib loves watching soccer, walking around Olde City, and taking advantage of Philly's awesome food scene.
