AREAS OF SPECIAL INTERESTS
Alice has been working with Dr. Robert Mauck in McKay Orthopaedics since Fall 2005. Her current research is in the realm of cartilage tissue engineering; she is examining the role of mechanical stimulation in mesenchymal stem cell chondrogenesis and on cartilage tissue development. Specifically, she will use novel loading configurations to explore the evolution of structural anisotropy in MSC-laden engineered constructs. Alice hopes to graduate in a more or less reasonable amount of time.

Alice is also deeply passionate about online grocery shopping and fly-fishing. One of these days, after she has acquired the appropriate equipment and dapper ensemble, she will actually go fly-fishing. In the meantime, she will buy her fish online.
