Areas of Special Interest

Ashwin joined the lab in the summer of '06 and is currently working on developing a tissue engineered construct that emulates the properties of the native meniscus. Having worked on various projects, he has narrowed his focus to the response of mesenchymal stem cells to static strain. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, he hopes to take on, as a side project, the mending of broken hearts.
