2010 Workshop

PAN's Workshop, "Autism, Asperger Syndrome & Health Sexuality: An Advanced Workshop for Professionals", took place on Monday & Tuesday, June 28-29, 2010. Author of Asperger's Syndrome and Sexuality: From Adolescence through Adulthood, Isabelle Hénault, PhD, was the presenter. The conference offered 12 workshops which aimed to elaborate on strategies to improve the social and sexual skills of adolescents, young adults, and older adults with ASD

2010 Conference

PAN's 5th Annual Conference, "Promoting Healthy & Successful Lives for Individuals with ASD", took place on Friday, April 23, 2010. Author of Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger’s, John Elder Robison gave the keynote address entitled "Illuminating Insights on Autism, From a Life with Asperger's". The conference, cosponsored by ASCEND Group, also offered 18 Individual Workshops and a Resource Fair.

2009 Conference

PAN's 4th Annual Conference, "PROMOTING ADVOCACY & COMMUNITY INTEGRATION FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH ASD", took place on Friday, March 20, 2009, on the University of Pennsylvania Campus. The conference featured a panel session, "The Self-Directed Support Organizations for Individuals with ASD", moderated by David Gates, Esq, Policy Director & Senior Attorney, PA Health Law Project and a plenary session "Self-Advocacy & Disclosure for People on the Autism Spectrum", presented by Stephen Shore, EdD, Author, Self Advocate & Assistant Professor, Adelphi University.

2008 Conference

PAN's third annual conference, Facing the Future with Optimism, took place on March 28, 2008. It featured a panel session on “Living Arrangements for Adults on the Spectrum: A Variety of Options” and a plenary session presented by Scott Robertson, V.P., Autistic Self Advocacy Network, on “Transitioning to Post-Secondary Education for Students on the Spectrum.” In addition, the conference offered 12 workshops and 20+ exhibitors at the PAN resource fair. A March 27th kickoff event, "Lights on the Spectrum," raised funds to further PAN's goals. Many thanks to PAN supporter Larry Berman for his contributions to making our kickoff event a great success.

2007 Conference

Keynote speakers for the 2007 conference were Jerry and Mary Newport, internationally recognized advocates, authors and savants. In addition, 21 breakout sessions were offered.

2006 Conference

The 2006 conference featured Temple Grandin, Ph.D., a prominent autistic author and speaker, and Peter Gerhardt, Ed.D., president of the Organization for Autism Research, along with 12 different breakout sessions.
