In collaboration with the leadership of the Joseph Stokes, Jr. Research Institute, the Department supports key areas of research within CHOP, reflected in the creation of 13 Research Affinity Groups.
Two hundred and six members of the Department of Pediatrics perform basic, translational and clinical research. In addition to other external funding supporting our investigators, members of our department are the recipients of 161 R-series awards, 30 institutional and individual Career Development Awards and seven Training Grants from the National Institutes of Health.
