Clinical Psychology Internship Program

Pennsylvania Hospital, a part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, offers an American Psychological Association-accredited internship program in Clinical Psychology. The program is one year, full-time, with an option for a second year.

Interns participate in the Department of Psychiatry Behavioral Health Clinic where they carry long-term outpatients, as well as short-term employee assistance cases. From this central location, interns then rotate through both assigned and elective rotations including, for example, the acute psychiatric inpatient unit, the community mental health program, the general medical hospital, and the palliative care cancer center.
